How to protect your mental health if you get COVID

Posted on June 28, 2022April 27, 2026 by thepsychpod

If you got covid, just breathe. If your symptoms are not severe, allow your body to do it’s thing and fight the virus. Don’t overwork yourself. Relax and get plenty of rest, ask for help from family and friends if you need it.

And remember, get a little bit of sunshine every day, drink plenty of fluids, and eat lots of fruits and vegetables.

Love yourself and your family a lot. Take a shower every day. Listen to music.

Write, journal, meditate.

Make a beat, sing a song, and dance a little.

Play a game. Build a puzzle. Plant a flower.

Get creative.

Paint a picture, draw something, read a book or magazine.

Reminisce on your life.

Smile and be kind to yourself.

Try to laugh, and watch things that will lift your spirits.

Try to follow a routine and don’t beat yourself up if you are not functioning as you normally would.

And while you are here, make sure to check out our other posts and subscribe for more mental health and psychology tips and updates!
