When’s the last time you cleansed your mind, body, and soul?
When was the last time you reset? Took time off for yourself to go outdoors. To go to the beach, the forest, or the mountains. When is the last time you read your favorite book, listened to some music, enjoyed a movie, went on a walk, rode a bike, or got on the swings in a park?
When was the last time you did something you love just for fun?
Sometimes we forget about the person we are deep inside. The person we were before all the stress, before the trauma, before that one event or events that really fucked everything up.
You may have lost someone or something that was important to you; and in the process, it felt like you lost yourself.
From that point on, you may have felt confused. Confused about who you are, who you want to be, what you stand for, what your morals are? You may have even questioned your existence.
Other stressors may have piled on, and suddenly you found yourself just existing, following a daily routine, on auto pilot not really living your life.
If it ever gets to the point where you are not really living life, then it’s time for you to reset.
It’s time to cleanse your mind body and soul.
It’s time to get rid of the bullshit. Whatever that may be in your life.
It’s time for you to do more of the things that make you feel alive. It’s time for you to throw out and remove anything or anyone that is keeping you from living the life you want. Toss that shit in the trash. Leave it in the past and move forward.
Begin working towards the things that are going to bring you feelings of inner peace, happiness, and love. Whatever it is that is going to make you feel alive. Search within your heart, for what you really want.
Then begin preparing yourself for the life that you want by making changes that will help you get closer to what you want your life to look like.
Evaluate the possibilities that are within your reach. Figure out what steps you need to take. Create realistic and attainable goals. Monitor your progress and adjust your goals and expectations as you work towards the life you want. It won’t happen overnight, but if you start now and consistently work towards finding your inner peace and the life you want eventually you will get there.
